"The Real Madrid Resort Island has fallen through"

Marca.com - In his first mini-assembly with Real Madrid's representative members, Florentino Pérez revealed that the Real Madrid Resort Island project "has fallen through", comments later echoed by many of the members in attendance on social media.
The resort was set to be built in the UAE – specifically in Ras Al-Khaimah – and was scheduled to open in 2015. The 'Los Blancos' president subsequently added that the club would look to push through with a similar venture in another Emirate.
