Fans back Jesé to replace injured Isco

MARCA.com readers have thrown their support behind Jesé Rodríguez's claim to step into Isco's shoes, with the ex-Málaga midfielder likely to miss Real Madrid's meeting with Villarreal through injury.

Some 48.7% of respondents in our poll voted in favour of the 20-year-old getting the nod to play in the hole, behind Cristiano and Benzema, with Khedira and Modric lining up across the middle of the park.

Earlier on Wednesday, Rodríguez told MARCA that he is ready to step up to the plate. The forward, who gave Carlo Ancelotti a timely reminder of his abilities with his recent performances for the Spain under-21s, said: "You have to be patient. Who says I won't play 30 games [this season]?".
With 43.3%, the second most popular option in our survey was to push Modric further forward, with Di María deployed out wide and Khedira and Casemiro in the engine room.
Only 8% of the almost 90,000 votes went to the third option of bringing in Morata behind Cristiano and Benzema.
